How to Crochet a Basic Hat Tutorial: Half Double Crochet Hat

This half-double crochet hat is perfect for 3-6-month-olds. It is made complete with a shell edge. This cute hat is done with caron soft yarn but can be done in any medium worsted type of yarn.

I'm switching to a WordPress blog instead of using this Blogger platform for various reasons, so this pattern has been relocated.

Wow this one is really pretty, I wish I could convince my niece to wear this one. I am crocheting the Hello Kitty one for her she loves Hello Kitty. I was curious though because the one on the older little girl looks like hdc. Well I check it out and do what looks best. Thanks for such a cute pattern.

there is an option of hdc or dc for the hats.

Hi I'm wondering if you have a pattern for this hat for a little girl 2 1/2 years old?

I would add two more increase rounds, see if that measures 20 inches around.
