I'm switching to a WordPress blog instead of using this Blogger platform for various reasons, so this pattern has been relocated.

My cousin posted this link on Facebook requesting one or a million in different shades. So easy and quick to make, and I've been able to use remnants to make them up. Thanks!

Whenever I start the flower I chain 35 and do exactly as you say but I keep coming up with only 14 v stitches rather than 16. What am I doing wrong?!

I made the flower a little wrong, but it still worked beautifully! Thanks, I've made a bazillion flowers but haven't ever made one using this method. It sounds like it's fairly common, which goes to show that it's worth posting things, even if you think everyone already knows how to do it!
Thank you!
