Crochet Child's Hat with Flower

This adorable crochet hat can be done in any size just change the hook size as seen below. It is done with caron soft yarn, but can be done in any cotton or medium worsted yarn. The layered flower adds a special nice touch to hat along with the scalloped edge.

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

I love this hat. I am making it for my four year old granddaughter. I have a seven year old granddaughter too. She has a larger head. Do you have suggestions for making it bigger?

hi too busy, I would add another round, or go up size in your hook, so for each size, I usually go up one round or go up on the hook, so you could do, J hook, or do a round 5 increase, rnd.5, 2 dc in one chain, 3 dc in the next 3 seperate chains space, 2dc, *repeat for that round, hope that helps. thanks

Thank you so much for posting your very easy-to-follow directions! I am a new crocheter, and I finished this hat and flower in a matter of a couple of hours! I'm thrilled with it and will be making a few for my nieces at Christmas! I plan to post my finished hat(s) on my blog and link back here in the next couple of days!
