How to Make a Crochet Baby Dress




This crochet baby dress is available in 3 to 6 months old baby. This is perfect for any baby and is made with caron soft yarn. Welcome to our step-by-step tutorial on how to make a crochet baby dress. In this video, we will guide you through the process, providing easy-to-follow instructions

3-6 Months

Supplies:
H hook
J hook
K hook
Soft Purple Red heart yarn
Cream Vanna White yarn

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
sl st=slip stitch
hdc=half double crochet
2sctog=2 single crochet together
bpsc=back post single crochet


Instructions:
J hook
Purple yarn
Bodice: Make two of these, you will sew the seams together when you finish
ch 35, hdc in the 3rd chain from the hook and each stitch across, turn
*ch 2, hdc in each stitch across, turn, *repeat 4 rounds,
2sctog once, hdc in each stitch across, 2sctog once in the last stitch, turn *repeat 4 more rounds, continue with one of the straps, below.

Straps:
same yarn and J hook
at the end of the last round you finished, turn, sl stitch in the first two stitches, *hdc in the next 4 stitches, turn, ch1, *repeat 6 times, sl st, fasten off,
The other strap, on the opposite side, sl st your yarn on, sl st in the next two stitches, *hdc in the next 4 stitches, turn, ch 1, *repeat 6 times, sl st, fasten off.

Make two sides for the bodice and sow seems together, stop sowing once you get to the decrease on the sides, those will be the arm holes, sew the straps together on top the of the straps too.

Skirt:
K hook, to have it flare out a little
purple yarn.

rnd 1. sl st with purple yarn at the bottom of the bodice, ch 2 * V-stitch-(dc,ch1,dc) skip 2 stitches, *repeat, sl st on top of the chain 2.
rnd 2. ch 2, keep working in rounds, don't turn, work *(dc,ch1,dc) in each ch 1 space, *repeat, sl st on top of ch 2, repeat until you skirt is 9 inches long.

Ruffle at the bottom: continue with round from the skirt, sl st, ch1, *(dc,ch1,dc,ch1,dc,ch1), sl st in the next chain, *repeat for the round, sl st in last stitch.

Flower:
H hook
purple and cream yarn
Start with cream yarn

ch 5, sl st to form a ring
rnd 1. Work 10 sc in the ring, sl st in the beg. chain.
change to purple yarn with sl st,
rnd 2. sc in the same stitch, *ch 3, skip the next st, sc in the next stitch, *repeat until you have 5(chain 3).
rnd 3. *ch 1, do 6 dc in the chain 3 space, ch 1, sl st in the previous sc space, *repeat until you have 6 pedals in the chain 3 space.

Next Flower:
cream yarn
rnd 4. *bpsc, ch 5, bpsc, ch 5, *repeat until you have 5(5 chain spaces)
rnd 5. *ch 1, 9dc in the chain 5 space, ch 1, sl st in previous sc, *5(9dc pedals) , sl st to finish
fasten off and attach to dress. weave in the ends, your dress should be around 14-15 inches long in length.
