How to Crochet a Beard Pattern

An Adult Size Beard Brown yarn J Hook Start: chain 7 Row 1: single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each stitch across. turn (6sc) Row 2: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row.  turn (6sc) Row 3: chain 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc across next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, turn (8 sc) Row 4: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row. turn (8sc) Row 5: chain 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc across next 6 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (10 sc) Row 6: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row.  turn (10sc) Row 7: chain 1, sc in each stitch across, turn (10 sc) Row 8: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row.  turn (10sc) Rows 9-22: repeat rows 7 & 8 Row 23: chain 1, decrease sc in first 2 stitches (2sctog), sc in the next 6 stitches, decrease sc last two stitches (2sctog), turn (8 sc) Row 24: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row.  turn (8sc) Row 25: chain 1, decrease sc in first 2 stitches, sc in the next 4 stitches, decrease sc last two stitches, turn (6 sc) Row 26: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to finish that row.  turn (6sc) Row 27: chain 1, sc in each stitch across, turn (6sc) Ear loops: Make 2, chain 15 from row 27, you might have to see if that will fit or adjust it to your ear. sl st. to the end of the row 27. Fasten off, For the other ear loop, Slip stitch with your yarn to row 1. and chain 15 and sl st to row 1. fasten off, weave in the ends. Mustache Slip stitch your yarn to first stitch on Row 8 with a slip stitch, begin a chain that will reach over to the opposite side,  chain 10, sl st. into the row 19, then turn. chain 1,  double crochet (dc) into first chain, dc into the next 3 chains, Slip stitch  in next two chain stitches,  dc in the next 4 chain stitches, slip stitch. ( 8dc, 2 slip stitches)  Fasten off and weave in ends.
