Crochet Leaf Pattern Free






This is a very creative way to crochet a leaf. I suggest following along with the video since this is an advanced type of stitch. I used medium worsted yarn and an E hook, however you can use any type of yarn and hook depending on big you would like your leaf. It measures about 1.5 to 2 inches. 

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet

Rnd 1: In Magic Circle; Work 12 sc in the Magic Circle. Sl St to Join.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop, Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook. 

Next Row of StitchesInsert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook,yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook

Next Row of Stitches: Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, 
Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, (5 loops on the hook) yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, 4 times Total

Next Row of Stitches: Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop,
Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, (6 loops on the hook) *yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, *Repeat 5 times Total

Next Row of Stitches: *Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), *Repeat 5 Times total

Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, (7 loops on the hook) *yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, *Repeat 6 times Total

Next Row of Stitches: Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), 
*Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, *Repeat, 6 times total

Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, (8 loops on the hook) *yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, *Repeat 7 times Total

Next Row of Stitches: Insert hook in the backloop stitch next to your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop (you may need to loosen it with a smaller hook), 
*Insert hook in the next backloop stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, *Repeat, 7 times total

Insert hook in the next sc in both loops of that sc, yarn over and pull up a loop, (9 loops on the hook) *yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, *Repeat 8 times Total


Ch1, pull through and cut the yarn and weave in your ends. I hope you enjoyed this crochet leaf pattern!
