Crochet Toddler Mittens

Crochet Toddler Mittens

I made these cute mittens for my 15 month old daughter to keep her hands cozy during the winter months.

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

Supplies:

H hook
Cream Red heart yarn
Yarn needle

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
ch=chain
2sctog=2 single crochet together decrease
2hdctog=2 half double crochet together decrease

I measured my 15 month old wrists, they were about 4.25 inches around. You can take the cuff before you sew it together and see if will fit, but you want it a little loose so you can fit it over the child's wrist.
Make 2 Mittens, H hook

Rows 2-20: sc in each back loop across, turn *Repeat for 20 rounds, -4sc (should measure around 5 inches long, before you sew it together)

Rnd 21: fold the rows of 20 in half and sc across the edges to close it to make a cuff

Rnd 22: sc in each sc around, sl st -20sc

I have a friend who has a toddler wanted to make him gloves.
These are easy to make I made it too big with a 5.0 hook so used a 3.5 so perfect!
I have a ton of scrap balls going to wipe them out because of this thank you!

Are you using worsted weight yarn? Red Heart has several weights in Cream.
Thanks!
