Newborn Bulky Hat, instead a D hook, Use a J hook with this pattern: http://www.amyscrochetpatterns.com/2015/01/crochet-baby-0-3-months-football-hat.html, when the increase stops, then continue the pattern as written in this pattern with the J hook.
I made this for myself, so I used a J hook. I've seen these fun hats and wanted to create one for myself. If you want a different size, check the size hook to use above.
Supplies:
J hook
I used Vanna White Orange yarn, or you can use what you prefer

sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet

To create the Turban look, take a about 1.5 feet of yarn and attach it to your yarn needle. Make sure your seam is in the back and sew in the front, take your yarn needle and sew in the center of the hat and sew into the back loop of round 8 and sew around rounds 8-16 many times, as seen in the picture above. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

I found that using Premier Everyday with J hook made the hat too big..almost 11 inches. Since, I haven't fastened the hat off, I will go back to the last increase round and use and H hook. The instructions are clear and easy to duplicate.
Thank you for sharing.
is this in dk please
