I made this Heart Stitch Hat for my 4-year-old daughter who has a circumference of 20 inches around her head. I created this hat with a Hook, which is similar to the messy bun hat since I start with the brim. I created a video if you need more assistance. If you want to make an Adult size I would chain 10 for the brim and use an I hook. Take the brim around your head and when it fits around your ears and meets together then stop and follow the pattern as close as you can, but change the hook size to an I hook and make your brim a bit thicker with a chain 10.
