Crochet an Interlock Shawl Scarf Tutorial

Create unique crochet stitch with this fun pattern. I used a F hook and Size 3 Baby yarn. This pattern is great for shawls and scarfs or even a blanket. I uploaded a video if you need more assistance.

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
dc=double crochet

Multiples of 10 + 7

Chain 157
Row 1: Work dc in the 4th chain from the hook, and work dc in the next 4 chains, *skip 5 dc, chain 5, work a dc in the next 5 chains, *Repeat, at the end, ch 1, pull through

Row 2: with your new color of yarn, Chain 157
Work dc in the 4th chain from the hook, and work dc in the next 4 chains, Now take your yarn chain strip and insert the yarn strip going under the previous chain 5 space, and weaven the chain yarn strip back and forth in the chain 5 spaces until you get to the end.

Now continue on with the new color of yarn, and *ch 5, skip 5 chains, dc in the next 5 chains,  *Repeat until you end, Make sure to keep the yarn weaved in and out.

Row 3: Its exactly like Row 2, except, when you insert the chain yarn strip, you will insert it going over and through the previous chain 5 space, and weave it in and out. and continue on row 3 which is done the same as row 2

Alternate between Rows 2 and Rows 3.

To Finish, Go to the end and sl st into the end row, Ch 3, work 2 dc, go to the end of the next row and continue on with a 3 dc, until the end.
