Crochet Bead Stitch Tutorial

The crochet bead stitch is a pretty type of stitch that is great for scarfs, wash clothes, hats, afghan, etc.. I created a video if you need extra help. I used a f hook and baby size 3 yarn. This type stitch is done in multiples of 2.

Abbreviatons:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
dc=double crochet
sc=single crochet

Row 1: Chain 20
Row 2: sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and sc in each chain across -19 sc

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in the next sc, *yarn over and insert hook behind the dc and grab the yarn and pull through, repeat two more times. yarn over and pull through the loops on the hook, but leave two loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through the last two loops on the hook. skip sc, dc in the next sc,
skip sc, *Repeat, end with dc, -9 bead stitches

Row 4: Turn, Ch1, sc in each sc across -19 sc
Row 5: Repeat row 3
Row 6: Repeat row 4
Alternate between Rows 3 and 4.

Ch 1, pull through, weave in your ends and Fasten off.

I call this the "tornado" stitch. :)
Each stitch looks like a little tornado.
Thanks for this tutorial!

It's a fun stitch. Perfect for all the "Yarnado" yarn I ordered. However, I think I'm doing something wrong on the ends. The entire strip seems to be leaning sideways rather than straight.

Awesome! "Tornado stitch" is exactly what I called it when I first saw it, too!☺️ It's easier for me to remember that way. Cheers!
