Crochet Flower Doily Tutorial




This pretty flower doily pattern is done with thread size 10 yarn and 2.5 hook size. It measures 5 inches around when finished. These small doilies are great as coasters or for your table!

Abbreviations: 4dctog cluster: yarn over and insert your hook in the stitch, pull yarn through the yarn, yarn over and pull yarn through two loops on the hook, *yarn over and insert hook into the next stitch, pull yarn through the yarn, yarn over and pull yarn through two loops on the hook
*Repeat two more times, For total of 4 times, then yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on the hook

sl st=slip stitch
dc=double crochet
sc=single crochet
ch=chain


Chain 5, sl st to create a ring
Rnd 2: ch 3, counts as dc, work 19 more dc in the ring, sl st on top of the chain 3 -20 dc
Rnd 3: Chain 6 (which is counted as dc and chain 3), skip dc, dc in the next dc, *chain 3, skip dc, dc in the next, *Repeat around, sl st on top of the chain 3. 
Rnd 4: sl st into the chain 3 space, Ch 3, work 4 dc in that same space, *work 5 dc in the next chain space, *Repeat around, sl st on top of the chain 3. 
Rnd 5: Ch 5(counts a dc, ch 2) 4 dc cluster together, *ch 2, dc in the next dc, ch 2, 4 dc cluster, *Repeat around, sl st on top of the chain 3
Rnd 5: sl st into the chain space, ch 3, counts as a dc, work 3 more dc in that same chain space, dc into the cluster on the side and on top of the cluster, (so twice into the 4dctog cluster), *work 4 dc in the next chain space, work 4 dc in the next chain space,  dc into the cluster on the side and on top of the cluster, (so twice into the 4dctog cluster) *Repeat around, sl st on top of the chain 3 space, 
Rnd 6: ch 5, *skip two dc, sl st into the next stitch, ch 5, *Repeat around. sl st into the beginning stitch.
Rnd 7: sl st beginning chain space, *ch 5, sl st into the next chain space, *Repeat around, sl st in the beginning stitch
Rnd 8: sl st into the chain space, *work 4 dc, ch 2, 4 dc in the next chain space, sl st into the next chain space, *Repeat around, sl st in the beginning stitch. Fasten off and Weave in your ends.
