H hook and Caron Soft yarn

Make 5 Strands

Row1: Chain 96, work hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook, hdc in each chain across, Turn

Row 2: Ch 2, work a hdc in each back loop, Fasten off.

Then braid the 5 strands together. Best seen in the video. 

Make sure the backloop ridge is all facing the same way. The after the braid, slip-stitch the ends together to create the headband. I hope you enjoyed this easy crochet headband tutorial!

What a great pattern. Thank you so much.
If you wanted to chart the braiding, label each braid 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 from left to right. Lay your strips flat and split them with 1 & 2 slanted to the left, and 3,4 & five slanted to the right with a space in the middle. Take 5 and lay it across 3 & 4 to the middle space, keeping all strips flat. Take 1 and lay it across 2 to the middle.
Then, alternate the left outside strip to the middle and then the right outside strip to the middle. Always keeping strips flat, continue down to the bottom alternating left outside to middle, then right outside to middle.
You would probably like to reword this. I know parts are redundant.
