This crochet baby blanket can be done in any size hook and yarn. I used medium worsted yarn and G hook. I love how easy it is to make so it's great for beginners! So simple, but so pretty! Gauge: 1.5 inches per 5 stitches with a G hook.
In the video, this pattern may look like the sides and bottom isn't straight because I forgot the chain 1 after the 3rd row in the video, which is what I explained in the video and my bottom chain needed to be looser which I also explained.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
Row 1: I used purple with a G hook, then white yarn. Any chain count works for this pattern. I did a chain count of 25 for a sample in the video.
Row 2: sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, and each chain across, Turn.
Row 3: ch 1, sc in each stitch across, Turn.
Row 4: Best show in the video, ch 1, *yarn over insert your hook in the first stitch, grab the yarn and pull up your loop, yarn over, insert your hook in the stitch directly below the first stitch, grab the yarn and pull up your loop, yarn over and pull your yarn through all loops on the hook. *Repeat for each stitch to the end. Turn
Row 5: chain 1, sc in each stitch across
Row 6: sl st in with a white yarn, Repeat row 4,
Row 7: Repeat row 3. with your white yarn.
Then sl st with purple yarn. So two rows of purple then two rows of white yarn.
Alternate between rows 3 and 4. When you have your desired length, fasten off and weave in your ends.
