Easy Crochet Bear Warmer Headband for Beginners

I made this for an adult, however it can be altered for a smaller size by using less rows and chains. Once you have the desired rows for a smaller head, then place it around your head to see if it fits. I used a h hook for the crochet bear ear warmer and medium worsted yarn.

Abbreviations:

ch=chain

sl st= slip stitch

dc=double crochet

sc=single crochet

hdc=half double crochet

Row 1: H hook, chain 18, hdc in 2nd chain from the hook and each chain across. Turn

Rows 2- 42: ch 1, hdc in each back loops, Turn. Work this row for your desired length.

Sew the end together. Make sure it fits before you sew it together. You may need more or less rows.

With white yarn ch 1, sc in each stitch along the edge on both sides of the headband.

with black yarn ch 1, sc in each stitch along the edge on both sides of the headband.

Fasten off and Weave in your ends.

Ears: I hook, Black  yarn

Make 2, In the Magic Circle, work ch 1, 10 dc, pull it closed, sl st

Rnd 2: ch 1, work 2 dc in each stitch around, sl st

Rnd 3: ch 1, work 1 sc in each stitch around. sl st

Sew the ears on the headband about 4 or so inches apart. Fasten off and Weave in your ends.
