Supplies:
L hook (8.00 mm) and J (6.00mm) hook
Impeccable Glitter Cream yarn or some type of thick yarn (you can double thread your yarn optional)
Yarn needle
Button (optional)
I made this Cowl for 3 sizes since I could measure them on my children. If you want a difference size, I can't guarantee the right measurements without that person to measure, sorry.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
dc=double crochet
The sizes will be in the brackets for each size. I made them for these sizes, My toddler is 18 months and my daughter is 6 1/2 years old.
(Newborn, Toddler Size, Child size) My Toddler's head measures around 18 inches around, and my 6 year old measures around 21 inches around.
Start : L hook
Row 1: Chain (15 for Newborn, 25 for Toddler, 30 for Child), sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, and each stitch across, DO NOT TURN, Now work down the opposite side of the chain and sc in each stitch of the chain. - (27 sc, 47 sc, 57 sc )
Row 2: *Ch 1, and Turn, sc in each stitch around, do not slip stitch to join, Repeat *Until it measures (13 inches for a toddler or 26 rows, 20 inches for a toddler or 40 row, or 23 inches or 46 rows for a child.) (27 sc, 47 sc, 57 sc )
Now Don't turn and sc around the edge of the front of the hat once.
Row 3. Slip stitch to join the 2 side together (this is by the chin of the child, the cowl neck part) *chain 1 and sc around, sl st to join, Repeat * this for 7 rows. Fasten off and Weave in the ends.
At the beginning middle of Row 3, I sewed a button. (optional)
Ears, Make 2, J hook
Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 5 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. slip stitch -5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 dc in each sc around, sl st. -10 dc
Rnd 3: Work 2 dc in each dc around, sl st. -20 dc
Rnd 4: Work sc in each dc around. sl st -20 sc
Fasten off. Now place the Ears on top of the Hooded hat about 2.5 inches apart.
