I made these slippers for myself. I wear about 8 1/2 size shoe. You will need to use measuring tape to help you with this pattern and the women's foot available if the shoe size is a different size.

Start: Make 2, K hook
Toe: Chain 2, work 5 hdc in the 2nd chain from hook, sl st
Rnd 2: *Work 2 hdc in each hdc around*Repeat around, sl st -10 hdc
Rnd 3: *hdc in the next, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, use a marker now, and dont use a sl st, -15 hdc

Rnds 6-cont.: Hdc in each hdc around, (work in continual rounds without a slip stitch, use a marker)*Repeat this round until the toe Reaches 5.5 inches long, Now if your Foot is smaller then a size 8.5, then you will crochet up to the about a 1/2 inch away from your ankle and stop until the next rows below.
Next Rows: This is the opening of the Slipper where the foot goes in: Now Chain 1, and Turn, *hdc in each hdc around until you reach the marker from the last round, Chain 1 and Turn, *Repeat this until your slipper reaches 10.5 inches long or about 4.5 inches from the end of the last round of the toe to end of the heel, or if your foot is a different shoe size, crochet until you can close the last rows together and it fits comfortably without the slipper coming lose when you walk.
Once your slipper reaches the length to fit a women, then take the ends of the last round, and slip stitch across to close it for the heel. Then at the end, I turn it inside out, so the heel seem won't show. . Now fasten off and weave in the ends.

Now For the Crocodile Stitch Part:
With your yarn Attach the yarn in the middle of the top part of heel.
Single crochet around the opening of the bootie once. sl st. -27 sc, Make sure you end with 27 sc.
v-stitch= (hdc, ch 1, hdc)
Rnd 1: Ch 3, hdc in same stitch,* skip sc, v-st in next ch, rep from * around, join with sl st on top of first hdc. – 14 v-stitches
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as a hdc), working from top to bottom around post of first hdc of first V-st, work 3 fphdc, turn work so v-st is sideways, ch 1, working from bottom to top around post of second hdc of v-st, work 4 fphdc , * skip next v st, working from top to bottom work 4 fphdc around post of first hdc of next v st, ch 1, turn work so v-st is sideways, working from bottom to top around post of second hdc of v st, work 4 fphdc, rep from * around; join with sl st in top of first hdc.- 7 crocodile stitches in total.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, hdc in same st, v-stitch in the center of the crocodile stich, *v-st in next ch 1 sp, v-stitch in the center of the next crocodile stitch, repeat from * to * around; join with sl st in top of first hdc
Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3
Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st
Fasten off and Weave in the ends.

Hi, I have a question about the crocodile stitch part... I am not quite sure how you get 15 v-stitches with 27 sc... I only get 14 if I skip one sc after each v-stitch. Help, please!
sorry about that, I redid the count and I think you are right, its 14 v stitches.
