I made this for my daughter, who is 7 1/2 years old. Her foot is about 13 1/2 shoe size to almost a Size 1 and 7 inches long. This slipper should fit a child from 5- 8 years old. When you get to the length of the slipper, measure your child's foot. My daughter's foot measured 7 inches, so I made the slipper about 7.5 to 8 inches long to fit, and before I slip-stitched it closed, I put it on her foot to check if it worked.

How to Crochet Adult Sized Booties Videos:

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

Supplies:
N hook
Bernat Chunky yarn or any type of soft chunky thick yarn
yarn needle

Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
ch=chain

Start:
Toe: Chain 2, work 7 hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook. sl st -7 hdc

Rnd 2: *Work 2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in the next, *Repeat around, sl st -10 hdc
Rnd 3: *Work 2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in the 2 next, *Repeat around, sl st -13 hdc
Rnd 4: *Work 2 hdc in the next sc, hdc in the 3 next, *Repeat around, sl st -16 hdc
Rnd 5-cont.: Hdc in each hdc around, (work in continual rounds without a slip stitch, use a marker)*Repeat this round until the toe Reaches 5.5 inches long From Round 1 of the toe to the end of the toe, that is about 10 rounds. (Now if your Foot is smaller then a size 8.5, then you will crochet up to the about a 1 inch away from your ankle and stop until the next rows below.

Next Rows: This is the opening of the Slipper where the foot goes in: Now Chain 1, and Turn, *hdc in each hdc around until you reach the marker from the last round, Chain 1 and Turn, *Repeat this until your slipper reaches 10.5 inches long or about 4.5 inches from the end of the last round of the toe to end of the heel, or  if your foot is a different shoe size, crochet until you can close the last rows together and it fits comfortably without the slipper coming lose when you walk.
Once your slipper reaches the length to fit a women, then take the ends of the last round, and slip stitch across to close it for the heel. Then at the end, I turn it inside out, so the heel seem won't show. Also you could add some rounds of hdc for a boot slipper after make the heel. Now fasten off and weave in the ends.
