sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet

K hook
yarn needle

K hook
Toe: Chain 2, work 8 hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook. sl st -8 hdc
Rnd 2: *Work 2 hdc in the next stitch, hdc in the next, *Repeat around, sl st
Rnd 3- cont.: Hdc in each hdc around, (work in continual rounds without a slip stitch, use a marker)*Repeat this round until the toe Reaches 3.5 inches long, about 1/2 inch away from the ankle, that was about 6 rounds
Down below are more instructions

Next Rounds: This is the opening of the Slipper where the foot goes in: Now Chain 1, and Turn, *hdc in each hdc around until you reach the marker from the last round, Chain 1 and Turn, *Repeat this until your slipper reaches 7.5-8 inches long, (7 more rounds) But at the last round, work a hdc in the next 4 hdc, slip stitch in the next 6 hdc, hdc in the rest of the hdc, (this will round off the end)
Once your slipper reaches the length to fit your child, then take the ends of the last round, and slip stitch across to close it for the heel. Then at the end, I turn it inside out, so the heel seems won't show. Now fasten off and weave in the ends.

Now For the Crocodile Stitch Part:
With your yarn Attach the yarn in the middle of the top part of the heel.

Single crochet around the opening of the bootie once. sl st. -20 sc (make that sc an odd number, your number may vary for each child)  Make you end with 20 sc around.
v-stitch= (hdc, ch 1, hdc)

Rnd 1: Ch 3, hdc in same stitch,* skip a sc, v-st in next ch, rep from * around, join with sl st on top of first hdc. – 10 v-stitches

Rnd 3: Ch 3, hdc in same st, insert hook in space in the center of the crocodile stitch and complete a v- st, *v-st in next ch 1 sp,  insert hook in the space  in the center of the crocodile stitch and complete a v-st, repeat from * to * around;  join with sl st in top of first hdc

Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3
Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 2 into alternate v-st
Fasten off and Weave in the ends.
