How to Crochet Pouch Shell Stitch Tutorial
This crochet pouch is great for your money and credit cards or just about anything that is just a few inches long. I created this cute pouch with a shell stitch and cotton yarn. There is a video if you need more assistance.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
sl st=slip stitch
hdc=half double crochet
Supplies:
Cotton yarn, G hook
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
sl st=slip stitch
hdc=half double crochet
Cotton yarn, G hook
Rnd 1: chain 16, 2 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in each ch across, 2 sc in the last chain.
Work on opposite site, sc in each sc until the end. sl st at the end. (can use a stitch marker)
Rnd 2: ch 2, hdc in the next stitch, *skip stitch, 2 hdc in the next stitch, *Repeat until the end, skip two stitches at the end, sl st on top of the the ch 2
Rnds 3-9: ch 2, hdc in the next stitch, *skip stitch, 2 hdc in the next stitch, create the v-stitch on top of the previous v-stitch, *Repeat around, sl st into the chain 2,
**Repeat around for desired length , I did 8 rounds

Rnd 10: ch 1, *sc in each stitch around, sl st in beg stitch, *Repeat
Rnd 11:
Create the button loop, ch 1, sc in next 5, ch 4, skip 3, sl st in the next stitch, sc in each sc around, sl st

Rnd 12: ch 1, sc in each stitch around, when you get to the chain 3, work 3 sc in that chain space, sc in each sc around, sl st in the beg stitch
Rnds 13-14: ch 1, sc in each sc around for two rounds. sl st.
