Crochet Football hat and Diaper Cover

I made this adorable football hat and diaper cover for a friend who is having a baby boy. She went to the University of Michigan and I wanted to make the Blue and Yellow Michigan colors. I hope she likes it. You can change up the colors to match your football team if you like.

If you tell others about my work, please only link back to my blog, but don't copy my patterns to your site. Also you can sell anything you make from my patterns, but don't sell the free pattern. Thank you!

Question? Did you not find lion brand wool pretty coarse wool for a baby?

Also how much yarn, how many balls does these patterns require?

Thanks,

1 Skein of yarn is all you need, and I think if you wanted to use that kind of yarn, that would work, I used Red heart medium worsted yarn.

Sorry just to clarify one ball of each colour will be sufficient for BOTH patterns, or each? Also do you know the weight of yarn used?

Thanks,

yes that will work, worsted medium 4 yarn

is this in US terms or UK?

27. On the diaper cover says to fasten off and then slip stitch the 2nd color (mine is white) anyways was just wondering how to do that. I tried looking it up on you tube but couldn't find it

I just pull my yarn through and cut the yarn to fasten off. Then I inserted my hook with a new yarn and then slip stitched into a stitch, then sl st all around the entire boarder of the diaper cover.
