Abbreviations: ch=chain sc=single crochet dc=double crochet sl st=slip stitch
Supplies:
I used Red Heart Love White, Pink yarn. G Hook, H hook, Yarn needle 1/2" button
toddler-preschooler (12 months-3 yrs), 18"-20" head cir., hat length=7" =H hook
Instructions:
rnd 1: Work 11 dc in a Magic Circle, sl st on top of the chain 3. -11 dc
rnd 2. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as joining, 2dc in each dc around. join with sl st on top of chain 3. -22 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. -33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. -44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc. Repeat from * around, join with sl st. -55 dc
rnds 6-7. ch 3, dc in each dc around, sl st, *Repeat twice
rnd 8. ch 3, work 2 dc in the same stitch, *skip two dc, work 3 dc in the next dc, *Repeat around. at the end of each round, sl st in the ch 3
rnds 14-17. ch 2, hdc in each stitch around, sl st, *Repeat around for a total of 4 rounds. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Make sure the seam is on the back. Then in the front of the hat, sew the button on the side center. Now you can place your flower around the button and use different colored flowers for a new look.

Rnd 1. work 12 sc in the ring, sl st.
Rnd 2. *chain 3, skip next sc, sl st in the next sc, *Repeat around for a total of 6(chain 3 spaces).
Rnd 3. sl st into the chain 3 space, ch 1, work 4 dc, ch 1, sl st in the same chain 3 space, *sl st in the next chain 3 space, ch 1, work 4 dc, ch 1, sl st in the same chain 3 space, *Repeat around for a total of 6 petals.
Bp sl st=back post slip stitch
Rnd 4. Bp sl st around the first post, chain 4, Bp sl st in the next, *Repeat around for total of 6(Bp sl sts)
Rnd 5. *sl st into the chain 4, ch 2, work 5 treble crochet, ch 2, sl st into the same chain 4, *Repeat around for a total of 6 pedals. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

I did a thrid layer with 6 cjains around with the bp sl st, then s sl st, vhain 2, dc, 5 treble st, dc, chain 2, and sl st in ea h chain loop.
I would like to make this pattern for my daughter and her two girls. However the instructions shown are only for 12mos-3yrs. Where can I find instructions for those sizes? Thank you.

see the box above with a list of hook sizes for different ages, so if its for an adult then check the box above which is a J hook and follow the pattern the same way and then check what age for your child which maybe a H hook.
